The SSE IT leadership team recognised the importance of getting testing right for their Smart Meter rollout, aiming to provide customers with advanced metering capabilities.

The programme already had a number of different and experienced organisations providing assurance and audits over testing but the leadership wanted an independent and fresh view of the situation. SSE asked nFocus to review the current test strategy, approach, practices and coverage across the delivery lifecycle of SSE’s Smart Metering Programme.

Through health check audit and identifying strengths and weaknesses within the existing approach, nFocus provided feedback and recommendations. 

It was extremely refreshing to have such an engaged client with a real understanding of how testing can make dramatic improvements to the programme outcomes.
